Requirements
- Experience and high interest in data science and data analytics
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in information systems, computer science, analytics, or business with technical coursework.
- Experience with Big Data Technologies including Apache Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, etc.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Strong written language skills and familiarity with technical documents such as data dictionaries and process flow diagrams. Able to write instructions and procedural documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with development and analysis of identity data using advanced data science techniques. Help develop data quality measurement techniques.
- Assist with developing a user interface, geared towards hundreds of data scientists who are using the Big Data platform, in finding various data assets and other capabilities within the platform.
- Produce operational dashboards and reports to manage this critical Big Data platform.
- Update and maintain internal web pages to track and report on data assets.
- Maintain data dictionaries and prepare documentation of data analyses performed.
- Analyze and evaluating new data assets TransUnion is interested in.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UI development technologies like HTML, JavaScript, and other tools in prototyping UI design.
- Experience in Linux command-line tools, bash scripting and Ab Initio ETL technologies.
- Familiarity with interactive data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Working experience or certification in AWS Cloud technology.
