Requirements
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality, or data management; preferably at a Senior Manager level
- Experience in designing and rolling out programs
- Strong people leadership experience, including mentoring and supervising mid-level professionals
- Familiarity with procurement or legal/regulatory compliance data is an asset
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
- Own the full program lifecycle of data governance: design, rollout, training, documentation, compliance tracking
- Interpret complex directives (including AI-related) and translate them into actionable programs for business units
- Act as a thought leader and educator; delivering training, creating templates, and running regular governance forums
- Drive policy adherence, readiness for audits, and cross-departmental collaboration
- Build and manage project roadmaps with clear milestones, prioritizing risks and business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Information and data strategy, Managing change
- Advanced level of proficiency in Privacy governance technology enablement, Data privacy, Enterprise data management, Ontology design, Master data management, Data governance, IT standards and governance, Data integrity, Data quality, Metadata management, Verbal & written communication skills, Analytical and problem solving skills, Influence skills, Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration, Able to manage ambiguity, Data driven decision making
