Requirements
- Physics of X-ray photon transport.
- CT calibration and reconstruction principles.
- Numerical methods and optimization techniques.
- C++, Matlab or Python.
- X-ray and CBCT lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Model x-ray and charge transport in photon counting detectors using GEANT4 and other tools.
- Model x-ray transport (primary and scatter) through the human anatomy.
- Acquire experimental data.
- Investigate the impacts of detector nonlinearities on CT reconstructions, and investigate possible remediations.
- Perform DQE simulations.
