Materials Planner

Requirements

• Associates degree or 5+ years in a team-based manufacturing environment experience required.
• Experience in lean manufacturing principles required.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains raw material supply, balancing inventory exposure to production needs.
• Maintains shop floor reporting, scrap, and finished goods in SAP.
• Schedules materials and supplies for manufacturing.
• Communicates with vendors to obtain best prices and to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains effective relationship with suppliers to ensure orders are timely and accurate.
• Processes new supplier orders, changes, and releases.
• Expedites past-due supplier orders.
• Performs cycle counting and physical inventories.
• Provides product analyses as needed.
• Support corporate purchasing and supplier development teams in the selection and validation of vendors.
• Performs financial analysis as needed.
• Supports material review board (MRB) for inventory related tasks.
• Performs necessary functions to adhere to ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.
• Advanced excel and SAP skills a plus.
