Requirements

• 10+ years in data analysis/science with 5+ years building and managing teams, preferably at high-growth companies
• Proficiency in Sigma, Looker, Tableau, Mixpanel, and Segment or other data visualization tools
• A strong background using SQL and Python to manipulate and analyze data
• The ability to articulate complex data concepts and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders of various levels throughout the organization
• The ability to ensure data accuracy and reliability in all analyses across your teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing data organization, including data engineers, analysts, and scientists. Define team goals, mentor talent, and foster career development and growth.
• Define the company’s data vision and strategy as an AI-first product company, and translate the strategy into actionable priorities and initiatives.
• Standardize data collection, storage, and usage practices across teams. Define and evolve data governance policies, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and ethical standards.
• Oversee the architecture and scalability of data pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility for business intelligence and analytics.
• Partner with organizational leaders to understand business needs and deliver on cross-functional data initiatives that help stakeholders make informed business decisions for their functions.
• Manage the analytics and data science functions to deliver a robust, self-service data platform, surface proactive data insights, and identify opportunities for growth and product innovation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AI data architecture and recommend solutions to enhance Ontra’s data capabilities.
