Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in health and insurance plan administration or a similar role
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of experience working for a large employer with both union and non-union populations
  • 3+ years of experience developing and documenting processes

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a retiree medical eligibility subject matter expert and collaborate with both internal and external partners, performing research and resolution of complex cases, validation of requirements documentation and administrative rules, and ensuring high-quality supplier administration of eligibility and enrollment requirements
  • Review and respond to Retiree Medical Eligibility Claims, Appeals and eligibility letters within the compliant timeframe
  • Team focal responsibility for annual FAS 106 and Plan Valuations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Contribute to drafting and updating plan documentation (e.g. Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Amendments, Summaries of Material Modifications, etc.) in accordance with policy, union contracts and legal requirements
  • Perform oversight and accountability of process for validating, researching and correcting edits for premiums, contributions and eligibility in the Boeing Health and Insurance Payment System
  • Provide support for Mergers, Acquisitions, and divestitures and other special projects as required, contributing to the overall success of the organization
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with internal functional areas such as Legal/Compliance, Human Resources Services, Communications, Finance/Accounting, and Well-Being teams to ensure integration and an effective roll-out of policy and strategic initiatives
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from internal business partners and suppliers, maintaining strong working relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, CPA)
  • Experience with employee benefits programs and relevant regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, ACA)
  • Experience with Workday or PeopleSoft
  • Experience driving change and innovation in the health and insurance operations space
