Requirements

  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Business process analysis and design; ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Clear understanding of software development lifecycle and Application support; Project Management; Working knowledge of networking and systems design
  • Familiarity with system development methodologies
  • Client support of medical devices manufacturing and quality operations
  • SAP knowledge a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for local GMS site specific and/or nonstandard business systems and will assist with development and implementation of global solutions
  • Engage and partner with the respective Zoetis ZTD solution teams to determine solution fit within the current application portfolio (Infrastructure and Compliance)
  • Engage with the business to identify and define scope for continuous improvement and cost-saving activities
  • Accountable for the effective delivery of local solutions that align with key processes across ZTD including Infrastructure and Compliance
  • Partner with business to ensure that they understand and can effectively leverage service offerings available from other GMS Sites or Zoetis Departments
  • Secure appropriate resources for projects, engaging with the business, and facilitating service delivery
  • Where global solutions are not available, ensure local site development aligns with global development and platform standards (Infrastructure and Compliance)
  • Leverage ZTD Shared Service support
  • Act as a point of escalation on critical break/fix support, working with site process owners and global system support teams as appropriate
  • Interface with clients in the understanding of business requirements
  • Engage with ZTD infrastructure support teams in the identification of required improvement solutions – Coordinate locally the infrastructure support activities and projects – Support non-standard local infrastructure components – liaison with the local Automation team for global infrastructure topics
  • Actively engage with the business to identify and develop continuous improvement initiatives at the site. Develops business case for continuous improvement activities
  • Engage with ZTD application solution teams in the identification, evaluation and recommendation of information solutions
  • Assist with definition of solution scope and development of project plans and budgets
  • Engage with Risk Management and Compliance ZTD in the identification of Compliance solutions implementation (GMP, Security, Business Continuity,…) – Interface with clients for all related ITS compliance activities (Validations, Qualifications, Audit preparations, Continuity tests, …)
  • Data analytics dashboards and data mining
  • Engage with the business while working with the global model resources to identify and define process improvements utilizing existing application footprint.
  • Solutions typically utilize commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and are practical, risk-balanced, and end-to-end in scope
  • As necessary, design, develop, document, and implement local solutions
  • In cases where a COTS solution is unavailable or not a suitable fit for the need, custom coding may be required
  • Perform testing to demonstrate viability of solutions
  • Participate in the effort to educate clients on the end-to-end nature of solutions
  • As required, serve as the primary point of contact for project implementations and technical solutions
  • Develop clearly written specification documents, work instructions, qualification, and/or support and training materials
  • Prepare routine reports or status updates for clients on the status of systems or program roll-outs
  • Prepare and maintain sections of presentations on implementation initiatives as required
  • Maintain end-to-end models of technical implementations in appropriate support tools
  • Provide support to clients in response to Service Center tickets, Service Requests and ad hoc requests, meeting or exceeding established service level agreements
  • Resolve problems and identifies issue-prevention opportunities and solutions, demonstrating true service excellence
