Requirements
- Demonstrated experience teaching introductory statistics and research design in an academic setting
- Instruction in descriptive and inferential statistics including types of measurement scales, displaying data distributions, measures of central tendency and variability, Z scores, correlation and regression, probability, hypothesis testing (both parametric and non-parametric), statistical power, experimental confounds, reliability and validity measurements
- Availability through regular office hours and appointments for supervision and contact with students
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D.) in Psychology, or ABD in Psychology, status is required.
Responsibilities
- Scheduled contact time with students
- Preparation of lectures
- Student consultation
- Marking and grading
- Course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty
