Requirements

  • Very strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and SQL for data analysis related tasks
  • Experience visualizing data for reporting and end user analysis, using tools like Tableau and PowerBI
  • At least 5 years of experience in a data analysis/reporting/programming role
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a STEM discipline such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, physics and computational finance
  • Experience analyzing, cleaning and aggregating data from multiple data sets and data sources such as excel, databases and SharePoint sites using analytical tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable interfacing with senior personnel on highly sensitive issues
  • Ability to proactively identify, analyze and improve upon existing processes for optimization
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work product; ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work across departments to influence others and build strong relationships

Responsibilities

  • Structure large data sets to find usable information
  • Create and validate monthly metrics and reports presented to senior leaders of the FCR team and firm leadership
  • Analyze business management metrics to identify variances, gaps and issues for escalation
  • Communicate with individual subject matter experts on outliers or threshold breaches to obtain additional information and commentary to be included in the metrics reporting
  • Provide relevant ad-hoc data to teams outside FCR and for other major initiatives
  • Maintain and create relevant documentation for new and existing reporting processes
  • Respond to regulatory and audit requests for information
  • Assist in the establishment of governance for reporting, tracking of risks and issues, project status and deliverables
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the metrics and reporting process
