Requirements
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Proficient with CATIA or similar CAD software (3DX experience highly beneficial)
- Experience with FEA using Ansys or similar software
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etc
- Experience with root cause corrective action processes
- Well-developed team-working and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of high voltage harness design, HV connector design, and related components for next-generation vehicle platforms from concept to production
- Exhibit a flair for creative problem-solving and attention to detail
- Demonstrate technical excellence and apply engineering first-principles to new applications
- Integrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment
- Optimize designs for size, weight, durability, and cost
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D GD&T controlled drawings of complex harnesses and assemblies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive engineering
- Experience with power electronics
- Knowledge of harness and/or connector design for high-voltage environments
