Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in chemical/agricultural, environmental, and manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree with preference given to engineering, or similar STEM field
  • Able to learn quickly, prioritize workflows, and adapt to changes as needed
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, team building and influencing skills
  • Integrity to follow, to own mistakes, & to say no when necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel & visio, and ability to read CAD drawings
  • Must enjoy spending hours a week documenting information and metrics, & following up with others

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating and overseeing Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for our hazardous unit operations
  • Update and develop Process Knowledge and Safety Information to align with current IFF standards including: Chemical hazards, Safe Operating Limits, Equipment design
  • Lead the site Management Of Change program and training for that system along with the Pre-Startup Reviews (PSRs)
  • Lead the site Interlock and alarm management program to improve operational response to chemical releases and other related emergencies
  • Support capital expansion projects by ensuring IFF process safety and RMP requirements are met throughout the entire project life cycle
  • Auditing, reporting of KPIs, hold others accountable for their process safety responsibilities, incident investigations
  • Long-term this candidate would branch into other EHS disciplines such as workplace safety, fire safety, or emergency response
  • Be an advocate and ambassador for safety, the environment, and compliance with regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of RMP, NFPA, and other regulatory standards is preferred
  • Experience in Health and Safety management systems and auditing is preferred
