Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- Experience with structured query language (SQL) and other data profiling tools and techniques desirable; experience analyzing data preferred
- Experience with scripting and/or programming knowledge desirable
- Experience with word processing and worksheet tools is required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of the System/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is preferred
- Experience developing business requirements to solve complex problems in consultation with business partners
- Experience writing detailed business requirements and functional requirements
- 3-5 years in a similar role preferred
- Experience in the banking or financial industry preferred
- Experience working in commercial banking operations is preferred
- Experience working as a business analyst, technical analyst in software development, IT support, information security, audit, or information risk is preferred
- Experience working closely with business teams to understand requirements
- Experience working in a systematic project management delivery process
- Knowledge in JIRA and Agile project delivery is desired
- Technical skills in Visio, Confluence, and Excel are desired
Responsibilities
- Translating clients’ requirements to functional documentation
- Participating in technical designs and test planning
- Participating in the review, analysis and documentation of business systems and user needs
- Developing documents for IT applications, system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies
- Designing, prototyping, coding, and testing new or enhanced applications
- Supporting the collection, documentation and maintenance of functional requirements and modeling
- Eliciting the requirements needed to carry out business processes including interviews, intelligence analysis and survey assessments
- Performing customer support processes and activities for the implementation of new or existing applications
- Participating in the planning, execution, and documentation of functional testing results
- Translating business needs, processes, and procedures into a workable system, and articulating on specific software requirements by communicating about these requirements with technology experts and business stakeholders
- Monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary
- Assisting in the development and delivery of training sessions and demos for end users
- Working closely with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverable
