Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting with a focus on accounts payable and cash.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Accounts Payable and Cash Manager to collaborate with the Accounts Payable operations, treasury and other teams to address root causes and resolve issues.
- Support the period close process, prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and cash fluctuations.
- Prepare, review, or approve journal entries, run account analysis and period close exception reports.
- Review periodic account reconciliations, along with detailed review and monitoring of items categorized as unidentified differences.
- Supervise and mentor accounts payable & cash accounting analysts. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and accuracy.
- Liaise with Store General Managers or Asset Protection Managers on cash variances and other cash related adjustments.
- Identify and address financial risks related to accounts payable and cash functions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Experience working in a publicly traded company with offshore operations preferred.
- Experience using Oracle or similar ERP preferred.
