Requirements
- High level knowledge of all facets of SAP, both Sales and Purchasing transaction codes.
- High level knowledge and understanding of Vertex Software and Vertex Tools.
- Ability to support and manage a team of consultants.
- Knowledge of implementation/consulting, customer service and vendor practices.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and implementation/testing techniques appropriate to Windows, Legacy and/or client server database applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment and understand the be responsive to project and customer needs.
- Ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment, while working under deadlines.
- Solid analytical, presentation, trouble-shooting and design skills.

Responsibilities
- Accountable for operational and financial metrics and the business results of the consultants they manage.
- Provides strategic leadership and oversight in support of the Practice’s achievement of business objectives in alignment of annual corporate goals.
- Independently manages and ensures all phases of Vertex projects including review and analysis of client requirements, solution design and build, testing and providing client support as needed, is accomplished.
- Creates an overall team environment that stimulates new ideas, challenges the status quo, identifies future initiatives, and instills the desire to excel.
- Provide oversight and collaborate with Vertex Consultants on SAP implementation project tasks while coordinating as Project Lead and Project Manager on several projects and provide guidance, direction and assign project tasks in support of SOW and project.
- Continues developing industry knowledge and project implementation skills and takes guidance from Practice Leaders and contributes to projects as needed.
- Provide review and analysis on solutions created by their team.
- Exercise sound judgment to manage the day-to-day client relationship and expectations.
- Responsible for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- When appropriate, assist consulting Business Development in developing statements of work.
- Assist with the on-boarding and training and development of new team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant work experience in Vertex Tax / Technology Implementations and Project Management, with strong knowledge of one or more host application/Vertex Partner software applications.
- Six years in-depth tax application experience working with systems such as SAP (ECC, S4/Hana. ERP, etc.).
- Has in-depth tax application experience working with public accounting firms and/or fortune 1000 companies in the area of transaction tax (e.g., multi-state/VAT).
