Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience in Marketing or Communications
  • Omnichannel marketing experience, specifically within Retail or Mass/Home Improvement channels; experience with consumer/durable goods industry preferred
  • Require experience managing teams and developing strategic communication or product commercialization plans
  • Experience working with advertising agencies, PR professionals and others to deliver creative materials required
  • Demonstrated ability to think long-term and strategically while balancing team resources and the tactical execution of individual projects
  • Must be comfortable developing and delivering presentations for all levels of executive management and customer leadership teams
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Travel required (10%) primarily for agency meetings, store visits, customer meetings and shows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Commercialization Team and forge best practices that drive strategy, planning, and implementation of North American product launches across our Security commercial business unit portfolios.
  • Work collaboratively as a central point of contact for cross-functional team leaders in Category Management, Project Management, Brand, Channel, eCommerce, DTC, Digital COE partners, Content, Training, and Trade Show teams to ensure continuity and alignment across product launches.
  • Prepare a commercialization timeline in alignment with new product launch timing in order to plan out timing of all commercialization activities and time required to complete prior to product launch, and communicate and implement with cross-functional teams to streamline all marketing activities prior to product launch.
  • Collaborate with Global Master Lock Marketing Teams to create consistency in launch content and strategy across global markets through project update meetings to provide project and timing updates, as well as share deliverables with global partners to translate and modify as needed in various global markets.
  • Support, facilitate and guide the commercialization team in annual strategic planning, overall commercialization project management, stage gate process, budget and forecasting, and product plan alignment throughout the execution of projects and launches.
  • Throughout product development and commercialization, support steering committee and executive updates, as well as customer meetings and/or vendor interactions.
  • Plan all content requirements for product launches and facilitate project management of project imagery, photography, video and messaging required for product launch through collaboration with Category Management, eCommerce, Channel and Sales teams to define requirements for launch.
  • Manage creative execution by leading external creative and marketing partners (i.e., ad agencies, marketing vendors, suppliers) in artistic direction, project requirements and serve as the key contact for high-profile projects and marketing communication initiatives.
  • Create supporting marketing materials for product launches beyond baseline content creation including product sell sheets, literature updates, guide all website deliverables for layout through imagery and content, and training deliverables for customer service teams.
  • Plan financial requirements for commercialization activities and partner with Project Management and Finance to define Capital vs. Expense line items, provide direction on requirements needed for project CERs, manage expenses for each project and provide updates monthly on status of spend throughout each project.
  • Collaborate with Brand Development to implement brand strategy throughout all content deliverables for product launch in alignment with new Brand Strategy for the BU.
  • Execute all packaging artwork to support product launch requirements, product updates and continuous improvement activities within Security BU through organization of product data (sku level detail, GTIN, compliance requirements, dieline information, etc.), creation of marketing content and iconography to be displayed on packaging, and project management of all artwork through a creative agency partner depending on budgetary constraints for the project.
  • Assist with product update and continuous improvement projects as needed to create new content, assist with marketing deliverables and support as needed on behalf of Category Management.
  • Establish and measure communications effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Help achieve business unit goals to accelerate share gains in key markets and support specific product and channel growth goals.
  • Manage and develop the commercialization team by building strong marketing acumen through leadership and mentoring by creating objectives, measures, and development plans.
