Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6 to 10 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master certification
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with at least 2+ years supporting cybersecurity or technology programs.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001).
- Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on integrating security into the SDLC (e.g., DevSecOps).
- Proven ability to mentor and coach teams at various stages of Agile maturity.
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills to manage team dynamics and drive consensus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile transformation efforts, facilitate Agile processes, coach teams to deliver secure and high-quality products, and drive continuous improvement in security-related initiatives.
- Apply extensive experience managing Agile teams in complex environments, a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, and the ability to navigate the intersection of security, technology, and business.
- Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach for multiple cybersecurity development teams.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Empower teams to self-organize and continuously improve by applying Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Mentor and guide teams on Agile best practices, with a focus on secure development practices (DevSecOps).
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to integrate security requirements into Agile workflows.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Security Engineers, and DevOps teams to prioritize security features and technical debt remediation.
- Facilitate collaboration between development, security, and compliance teams to ensure the delivery of secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
- Ensure security and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR) are effectively incorporated into the backlog.
- Identify and mitigate risks by aligning security objectives with Agile deliverables.
- Promote a security-first mindset by fostering a culture where security is treated as a core part of the Agile process.
- Drive delivery of high-quality security solutions by managing dependencies across teams and ensuring sprint goals align with broader security objectives.
- Monitor and track team performance, security metrics, and sprint outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Continuously refine Agile processes to enhance the efficiency, security, and quality of deliverables.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity leadership, product management, and technical teams to align security initiatives with business priorities.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Facilitate cross-team coordination and foster strong collaboration across the security program.
- Ensure that Agile practices align with cybersecurity governance, compliance policies, and organizational standards.
- Advocate for Agile frameworks that enhance security while balancing speed and quality.
- Duties also include project and program management, responsible for planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives.
- Ensure that all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Responsible for projects or processes spanning multiple professional areas.
- Responsible for coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.
- Work with and communicates with external parties (subcontractors, vendors, etc.) to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, processes and approaches.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale cybersecurity initiatives in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and secure coding practices.
- Experience facilitating PI (Program Increment) Planning in a SAFe environment.
