Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 6+ years of proven experience.
- Experience with testing spaceflight hardware.
- Experience in automated control and measurement systems.
- Experience developing integration and test plans/procedures and reports.
- Ability to handle moderately sophisticated issues and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Proven solid understanding of the subject matter.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automated test systems and software to improve production efficiency and validate product quality.
- Define and prepare comprehensive test systems with corresponding documentation.
- Develop test software for a manufacturing environment, suitable for use by peers and production technicians.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to ensure test requirements are clearly defined.
- Ensure design for testability considerations are implemented.
- Provide support and fixing for existing production test equipment.
- Determine program scope and cost determination.
- Present test campaign plans, schedules, and results to customers.
- Report and update test department metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python and LabVIEW.
- Software – hardware/test equipment integration experience.
- Experience with automation for manual/labor-intensive processes including gearbox, motor, and actuator assembly testing, PCBA firmware flashing, PCBA safe to mate, etc.
