Requirements

  • Certificate of Qualification licensed Industrial Millwright/Mechanic (433A/Red Seal Journeyman required)
  • In good standing with the College of Trades
  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment maintaining mechanical/electrical equipment
  • Welding with stick/tig would be an asset
  • Pipefitting would be an asset
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work with and interpret data and drawings
  • Ability to work with varying physical demands, including extreme posture, temperature, and height
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facilities equipment and machinery utilizing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation skill sets
  • Repairing/replacement of fixtures, agitators, pumps, motors, and corn-handling equipment
  • Performs related duties, including minor duties of other trades where certification is not required, and the work does not exceed its own limitations
  • Is a safety advocate; leads by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies
  • Must have CMMS experience (SAP)
  • Maintain the work area and physical environment neat, clean, and orderly (5S)
  • Perform any other duties as required
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision
