Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Procurement or related field, preferred experience in category management
- Strong background in logistics, supply chain and transportation categories preferred
- Sourcing Capability – experience driving long-term results through category strategies, leveraging in-depth market knowledge, collaborating, and influencing at all levels of a global organization
- Strong problem-solving & communication skills
- Strong executive level communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Category Management and related processes.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the development and execution of procurement strategies for our Outsourced Distribution categories within our Global Transportation Network. Responsible for achieving procurement savings (P&L, Capital and Non-P&L) targets.
- Develop and support deep category strategies with the focus of category management that translates into actionable multi-year sourcing strategies. Building and developing high-performing category management teams.
- Successfully partner across functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Risk Management) to drive results. SRM focused with the goal of fostering strategic supplier relationships.
- Seamlessly communicate across various levels of the organization to build alignment and drive outcomes. Demonstrate executive presence.
- Lead and support procurement activity within the Outsourced distribution category (Transloading, Franchise 3PL, Non-standard Transportation). Lead and support strategic sourcing events & negotiations (e.g., build RFI/RFPs, sourcing analytics, business cases), as well as proactive contract pipeline management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry standards. Monitor and report on category performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
