Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Master’s degree; Minimum of 1 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.
- Proficient in firmware development, MATLAB, Simulink, VHDL Coder, etc.
- Basic understanding of Radar or EW principles.
- Experience with lab test equipment such as function generator, oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzers, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.
- Knowledge of embedded systems design and implementation.
- Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation.
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on integration and testing of sophisticated Electronic Warfare and Radar systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments.
- Develop firmware for test stations and integrate station hardware.
- Generate and update system and sub-system level specifications and ensure verification traceability (tracing requirements to test plans/procedures/results).
- Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite testing of individual units before all system components are available and for troubleshooting and repair of failed units.
- Model and simulate real-time system operational environments and develop software that represent projected system behavior.
- Participate in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying system requirements.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
- Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Foster team collaboration to solve complex engineering problems and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the team to enhance productivity and quality of deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior professional experience either in Radar or Electronic Warfare, or prior professional experience in immediately transferrable domain skills such as digital signal processing, digital beamforming, adaptive processing, or tracking algorithms.
- Experience developing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models, and command and control models.
- Experience in development, integration and testing of large-scale systems.
- Experience with deriving system/software requirements and developing test plans and procedures.
- Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.
- Proficient with RF test equipment.
- Experience with VxWorks/pSOS RTOS.
- Experience with MIL-STD-1553.
- Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing.
- Experience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git.
- Electrical Engineering Degree
