Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a minimum of a BS in Pharmacy with a PharmD preferred
- Kentucky Pharmacist Registration or eligible
- Hospital experience and completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency preferred
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Interprets, profiles, and dispenses medication orders
- Supervisions production of compounded products
- Maintains knowledge of local, state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice as well as Joint Commission standards
- Supervises department or assigned work area operations in absence of Manager or Director including scheduling appropriate staff coverage when personnel call in sick
- Initiates, documents, and participates in department activities that promote positive patient outcomes
- Assists in orientation and training of pharmacists, technicians, students and residents
- Handles patient/staff complaints
- Monitors and coordinates workflow of medication preparation and delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD preferred
- Hospital experience and completion of an ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency preferred
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
