Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within the automotive or aviation industries
- Proven track record of managing high-volume assembly lines with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, visual factory, and other continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in using production management software and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Responsibilities
- Define and implement processes, processes, policies and KPIs to support the creation of a high-rate production capability at SNC
- Oversee daily operations of the high-volume assembly line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Develop and implement production strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless production processes
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Manage and mentor a team of production supervisors, technicians, and assembly line workers
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for team members
- Resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain optimal production flow
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
- Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related disciplines
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
