Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructures, and Environment (SDSFIE), and Maintenance and Analysis (M&A) environments
  • 3+ years of experience with writing SQL queries, Visual Basic, and Python scripts to execute ad hoc and planned map and data analysis requests
  • Knowledge of emergency management and incident response practices
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting, and communicate effectively and concisely with Navy clients, including leadership
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Science

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop, create, and map geospatial solutions for priorities like infrastructure, topography, human geography, and intelligence
  • Build maps, datasets, and reports to ensure Navy emergency management and response stakeholders have timely information
  • Work with a team of technical and mission experts to extract meaning and context from Navy operational data related to emergency response and force protection
  • Share techniques, work through challenges, and develop workflows to strengthen experience in geospatial techniques and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD or Navy policies and installation operations
  • Master’s degree in Geographic Information Science or a related field
