Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university (preferred)
- Three (3) years of experience as a photojournalist or equivalent in the news department of a commercial television station (required)
- Valid driver’s license and exemplary driving record (required)
- Strong communication skills (required)
- Ability to work on tight deadlines (required)
- Ability to deal effectively/professionally with the public, public officials, and staff (required)
- Strong storytelling abilities (required)
- Problem-solving skills (required)
- Positive attitude (required)
- Demonstrated skills in operating photography, non-linear editing, and live equipment (required)
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and workflow (required)
Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit video and stills in the field, newsroom, and studio
- Gather information and interviews in the field
- Shoot remotes as assigned
- Operate audio, video, and transmission equipment for live and taped broadcast and digital content
- Edit news stories on deadline in the field and in the newsroom
- Write and produce video for broadcast and digital (a plus)
- Contribute to station social media channels with information, stills, and video
