Requirements
- B.A. (or equivalent degree) – a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
- Typically, 2+ years of business experience, which includes 1-2 years of proposal experience.
- A higher level degree that includes proposal experience and writing may substitute for professional proposal experience
- Ability to utilize proposal management software and AI tools
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others
- Ability to work within time constraints, have a flexible schedule, be ready to meet changing deadlines and priorities to capture proposal needs
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Support sole source and competitive pursuits
- Create response templates that are compliant with solicitation requirements and company standards
- Assist with content reviews to include readability, spelling, and grammar
- Format templates, final responses, and internal documents to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and department standards (files will be in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project)
- Review the design and layout of all internal document and customer deliverables to ensure they are professional and visually appealing
- Support strategy sessions, kickoff meetings, content reviews, and other key meetings
- Take notes, present content, and track action items in meetings
- Track key programs and pursuits
- Ensure all internal trackers and reports are formatted properly and updated in a timely manner
- Assist with department file management and updates
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-starter and a problem solver; must have the ability to see the big picture and implement changes as required
- Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of team members and coordinate project tasks to ensure milestones are met
- Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) Certification
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
- Experience preparing Pricing Volumes to include work breakdown structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE), including government contracting proposal processes and procedures
- Understanding of one or more of Adobe Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Skills in the use of MS Word, i.e., formatting, outlining, graphics integration, for the use of proposals
