Requirements

  • The ability to discuss fundamental and quantitative investment concepts, as well as have a considerable understanding of portfolio construction techniques, including implementation strategies
  • A complete understanding of the benefits of the ETF structure and how it functions in the secondary and primary markets
  • Have an in-depth understanding of total portfolio construction investment theory, macroeconomic policy, and experience with sector use cases
  • Knowledge of quantitative investment techniques and an understanding of the use of derivatives in-and-out of the context of ETFs
  • Strong written and communications skills for frequent external and internal presentations
  • The capacity to develop and sustain strong working partnerships with our marketing, product and investment teams
  • Minimum 10 years of investment experience
  • CFA or CAIA, and/or MBA required
  • Current securities licenses (Series 7 and Series 63) required
  • Clean compliance and U4 record required
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, R, Tableau, and FactSet
  • Knowledge of risk modelling techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of ETFs and other investment vehicles
  • Excellent communications skills to concisely deliver sophisticated topics both written and verbally
  • Ability to work efficiently with and influence internal and external partners
  • Positive attitude with a strong team orientation, and is enthusiastic to educate team members and clients

Responsibilities

  • Generate thought-provoking, compelling, and timely investment content on sectors, the role of sector investing in portfolios, how to analyze sector opportunities from a technical, quantitative, and fundamental perspective as well as on the different implementation strategies for sectors
  • Utilize strong communications skills for frequent external and internal presentations, including client-facing opportunities, industry events, and virtual webinars to promote your work and insights related to market commentary and investment research
  • Build and sustain strong working partnerships with governance, marketing, product and investment teams, including planning for campaigns, research agendas, and client engagement tactics
  • Lead and organize competitive intelligence for business leadership and other internal stakeholders on sectors, ETFs, and buying behavior patterns of competing ETF strategies
  • Leverage expertise and market views to lead input for sector marketing campaigns, messaging, and initiatives across various client segment audiences (institutional, financial advisors, due diligence teams, ETF models) around benefits of sector ETFs and portfolio investment.

  • Knowledge of equity markets, sectors, and dedicated portfolio construction topics
  • Critical understanding of macroeconomics, financial theory and empirical research
  • Ability to formulate and articulate compelling, analytically-supported investment use cases
  • Available for travel 25-50%
