- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in working across teams and departments, building relationships, and fostering collaboration to achieve shared goals.
- Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously from planning through execution, ensuring deadlines are met, and initiatives are delivered on time and within scope.
- Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies, aligning organizational goals with actionable plans while considering future trends and challenges.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify solutions, and take initiative in addressing challenges and obstacles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including the capacity to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail in planning, reporting, and execution to ensure accuracy and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Competency in Office 365 or similar suites.
- Competency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel or similar software.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in professional working environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive the annual strategic planning process by facilitating cross-functional alignment sessions and partnering with key stakeholders to define clear measures of success that guide the organization’s strategic direction.
- Lead the process to evaluate potential strategic partnerships for GSUSA, while helping key executives identify new opportunities that support the organization’s goals.
- Manage the end-to-end reporting process, ensuring timely and impactful updates to the executive team and Board of Directors on strategic performance and key initiatives.
- Create and continuously improve planning and reporting templates to effectively communicate, track and measure the organization’s strategy and progress.
- Assume a project manager role throughout the year to ensure the successful implementation and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Partner with the Director of Strategic Planning to address a wide range of strategic challenges facing GSUSA throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification a plus
- Knowledge of nonprofit operations and/or federated organization models is a plus
