Requirements
- MD, Ph.D, or Pharm.D or doctoral degree in Health Sciences
- Oncology, in particular hematologic cancer, experience is an asset
- Experience in medical affairs, clinical and/or health services research (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry)
- Solid business acumen including understanding of the Canadian health care systems, patient management; and provincial and national pharmaceutical environment
- Strong analytical skills: ability to critically evaluate clinical studies, whether a protocol or a publication
- Proven strategic thinking skills and ability to interpret and implement strategic direction
- Performance driven entrepreneur with a customer-oriented mindset, excellent interpersonal skills and effective cross-functional team player
- Inclusive in supporting the group, while also respecting conversation and debate

Responsibilities
- Provide field based medical/scientific expertise to internal and external stakeholders in oncology through communication of key regional insights
- Actively shape the medical and cross functional colleague strategic plans
- Drive the development and execution of a regional medical plan
- Foster peer-to-peer relationships with key healthcare providers and researchers
- Execute regional medical tactics with scientific excellence, medical professionalism, and business acumen
- Identify and manage research, educational and partnership opportunities with external stakeholders
- Engage in non-promotional interactions to provide information that is accurate, balanced, fair, not misleading and supported by relevant scientific data, including safety data
- Provide product and therapeutic area medical expertise to healthcare providers and researchers through scientific exchange
- Identify, champion and leverage research opportunities that help to establish Pfizer Canada as a medical and research leader
- Conduct all activities in compliance with Pfizer Policies and Procedures, International Conference on Harmonization (ICH), Innovative Medicines Canada Code of Ethical Practices (IMC Code), and local regulatory requirements; act ethically and maintain Pfizer’s corporate integrity; adhere to and champion Medical Professionalism standards
