Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance, willing to accept interim Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure management.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services, with some experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, YAML).
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud security concepts, identity management (Azure AD, OAuth), and networking basics (VPNs, firewalls).
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, deployment, and management of secure cloud infrastructures using Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Support cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Participate in automating cloud infrastructure processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell, while learning Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
  • Assist in managing Kubernetes environments, both self-hosted and cloud-native solutions (AKS, EKS, GKE).
  • Collaborate with the team to perform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of cloud security tools (Azure Firewall, AWS Security Hub, IAM).
  • Help maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments and configuration management.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis of cloud services, escalating issues to senior team members as needed.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including team wikis, runbooks, and change reviews.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and hands-on projects to build foundational cloud skills.
  • Contribute to incident management and on-call rotations under the supervision of senior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Associate Engineer, or similar.
  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and an understanding of Kubernetes basics.
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch) and performance tuning concepts.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
