Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Four years or more of pipeline engineering or pipeline technical experience required
- Professional engineering license preferred
Responsibilities
- Participate in Project Design Reviews to review piping component and system design with project team
- Identify cost-saving synergies with L3S as projects are developed
- Complete construction verification process, hydrotest review, MOC review, and assist with project closing documentation
- Identify solutions to design nonconformities
- Lead review of variance requests to consider constructability, risk, and cost
- Mentor project leaders, specifically during project development to provide guidance on MPL standards
- Share lessons learned and sound engineering practices during project development and implementation
- Perform site visits to provide construction mentorship to L3S project leaders and project inspectors
- Provide on-site support for critical construction and/or downtimes
- Participate in staff meeting of Region Operations to share risk and understanding of pipeline integrity management
- Participate onsite to emergency responses as required
- Lead onsite MPL Repair Team during emergency responses
- Represent Asset Integrity on Stop-Help-Start (SHS) calls during integrity-related events
- Provide recommendations for return to safe operations, including repair solutions or monitoring plans
- Support Field Services and Planning (FSP) through evaluation of third-party line crossing and encroachment requests
- Participate in Data Integration Review (DIR) meetings and provide dig/repair recommendations
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced Integrity Engineers within AIRE
- Lead incident investigations as assigned
