Requirements
- S.E.E or Computer Sciences degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 5 plus years data center, computer industry experience.
- Familiar with PCB design and expertise for layout, routing, and timing constraints, DFM, DFA, and DFT consideration for mass production would be helpful.
- Understanding of High-Density Interconnect, VIPPo, multilamination, uvia & backdrill PCB layout and basic PCB Signal Integrity.
- Team work while managing responsibilities for projects with minimum supervision.
- Attention to the details and taking ownership of the design.
- Strong communication skills, and presentation abilities, ready to work with an international team.
Responsibilities
- Working with product design engineers & under the supervision of senior layout engineers performing PCB layout of high speed/high-density HDI PCBs for PCIe cards, Motherboards & Data Center blades for Machine Learning and AI, utilizing Cadence PCB design tools; Allegro & system capture.
- Initial floor planning and detailed placement of electrical, mechanical & connector components, constraint creation & management, following the topologies in specifications and signal integrity requirements.
- Your designs will comply with SI constraints, EMI/RFI best practices and FCC, UL, CE regulations in addition to IPC specifications and NRC regulations.
- Adding and adjusting power planes in close cooperation with power engineers and following the decoupling guidance of PI engineers ensuring a flawless power delivery with highest quality.
- A big plus would be creating layout & schematics symbols and adding them to the local library.
- Interfacing with fab vendors for the best stackup within tight time & cost constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the layout of interfaces like GDDR, LPDDR, DDR, PCIe Gen 5 & 6, Ethernet IEEE 802.3bj, cd, cf, USB, etc.
- Exposure to high-speed PCB design is a plus.
- Altium knowledge is a plus but not necessary.
