Requirements
- Experience in title examination
- Knowledge of the title insurance and information industry
- Previous experience using Title Insurance software such as Resware, e-closing, ATIDS, etc.
- Ability to plan and organize work to meet goals, including occasional project assignments
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify problems and provide resolutions to basic to moderately complex title issues
- Ability to work in a time sensitive production environment
- Basic math proficiency and the ability to learn basic to moderate mapping
Responsibilities
- Search title records to identify the records that may affect basic to moderately complex title orders
- Organize the search results into an accurate chain of title for basic to moderately complex title orders
- Examine all the documents in the chain of title for validity based on knowledge of legal descriptions, real property law and The Fund’s Title notes
- Validate that base title is within Fund guidelines, determine how apparent title is vested and what qualifies as an outstanding lien or encumbrance for basic to moderately complex title orders
- Prepare final title products, including the attachment of applicable records and tax information
- Interact with internal and external customers to answer questions, discuss findings and assist in resolution of basic to moderately complex title problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Florida Title Examination experience is helpful
