Requirements
- 3+ years of professional/business work experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas, charts, and graphs.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret results and draw relevant conclusions for review by others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying and anticipating recurring tasks, while effectively prioritizing workload based on volume and urgency.
Responsibilities
- Review and update annual renewal exhibits based on client data submitted during the placement/renewal process, providing analysis of trends and potential data issues.
- Learn and navigate company systems for setting up/renewing programs, creating submissions, selecting approved markets, and managing quotes and authorizations.
- Track the placement status of assigned accounts and follow up with brokers for necessary updates and information.
- Communicate with clients and/or markets during the placement process as needed.
- Draft and secure broker sign-off on renewal requests, marketing lists, placement updates, and post-placement communications using company templates and disclaimers.
- Assist brokers by researching financial statements, product lines, geographic exposures, and current reinsurance program information.
- Interface with other departments to provide client data for modeling, research claim or premium issues, and facilitate contract negotiation.
- Manage contract documents by reviewing and ensuring all executed documents are obtained and tracked appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a reinsurance intermediary firm, with a background in reinsurance underwriting support.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant professional designations such as CPCU, CLU, ARM, or ARe.
- Proficient in Power BI and PowerPoint, with a strong orientation towards procedural compliance.
