Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field and 3 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Financial Product Controller, Financial Accounting Senior Analyst, Product Control Intermediate Analyst, Product Control Analyst, Auditor, or related position performing data analysis within the financial services industry.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the above positions.
  • Full span of experience must include: Using Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Custom formatting, Power Query and Index matching), Knime and Tableau (visualization dashboards); Analyzing data models and conducting root cause analysis; Financial accounting concepts; Regulatory reports FR 2052a and FRY 9C and SEC reports 10K and 10Q; Designing, implementing and operating data governance and controls; Financial instruments including money markets, fixed income securities, loans, financial derivatives and repurchase agreements; Examining critical data elements and transaction lifecycle including origination, aggregation and processing. Financial systems functionality including transaction capture, sub-ledger, general ledger and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze root cause of Citi Treasury Investments (CTI) data deficiencies, and explain key drivers and financial impact to senior management.
  • Develop financial solutions and related business requirements to remediate CTI data exceptions impacting Citi’s financial books and records, accounting and reporting results.
  • Manage and escalate CTI data deficiency results, and report remediation status and metrics to management and regulators.
  • Design and implement data governance processes and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and validity of CTI data impacting Citi’s financial books and records, accounting, regulatory and management reporting results.
  • Execute on Citi data governance policy adoption and finance regulatory milestones.
  • Participate in strategic direction for CTI processes, organization and end-to-end data flows and internal controls across products, functions, and locations.
  • Conduct data analysis of balance sheet assets and liabilities, profit and loss, and regulatory reporting.
  • Identify data quality deficiencies involving CTI business transactions for various financial products, including investment securities, derivatives, debt, loans, and repos.
  • Examine critical data elements including transaction origination, subsidiary ledger, and general ledger books and records.
  • Analyze record-to-report information system data flows, products, and controls utilized in the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting processes.
