Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in [Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field]; Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in physician relations, or business development within a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of ophthalmology, physician practice management, and referral processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, healthcare software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within Metro Detroit.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals in the Metro Detroit area, focusing on promoting Sunvera Group’s ophthalmology services and providers.
  • Promote key ophthalmology services through regular in-person visits to referring practices.
  • Engage optometrists in co-management opportunities, educating them on post-surgical care and collaborative patient management.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to connect with new referral sources, including attending events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Resolve referral-related issues to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
  • Lead the development of Sunvera Group’s physician relations strategy to expand referral networks and patient volume.
  • Partner with a team of physician liaisons to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, executives, and marketing to drive growth, utilizing data insights to adjust strategies.
  • Monitor referral trends and generate reports on outreach performance, using metrics to adjust strategies as needed.
