Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality management.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.).
  • Strong experience with automotive product development processes, including design validation, production, and supplier quality management.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, root cause analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work cross-functionally with internal teams and suppliers, and to liaise with customers effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with quality management software (e.g., SAP, PQS systems).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management system in accordance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, as well as national and international standards.
  • Perform internal audits to verify QMS effectiveness and ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to drive initiatives.
  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize production and minimize defects.
  • Lead or support problem-solving teams (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions, corrective action requests (CARs)).
  • Work with suppliers to ensure that their processes and products comply with internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality consistency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback for non-conformances.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain quality-related documentation, including quality plans, control plans, FMEA, and inspection records.
  • Generate and present reports related to quality metrics, audits, and process performance to senior management and customers.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is properly archived and easily accessible for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory changes.
  • Ensure that all quality activities and product specifications align with industry certification requirements.
  • Support external audits and manage any necessary corrective actions resulting from audits or inspections.
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and customers on quality-related issues.
  • Manage customer complaints, quality issues, and coordinate problem resolution.
  • Ensure that the customer’s quality expectations are met and exceeded where possible.
  • Provide training and support to staff and teams on quality system procedures and practices.
  • Ensure that all team members understand the importance of quality and how to contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Drive a culture of quality across all departments in the organization.
  • Support the identification and mitigation of risks related to product quality, supplier performance, and process stability.
  • Implement risk management strategies, including FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), control plans, and risk assessments.
