Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of automotive manufacturing/plant floor experience
  • Teamcenter Visualization Mock-Up
  • Knowledgeable in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Vehicle Development Experience
  • Manufacturing /Assembly Experience
  • Product Launch Experience
  • Design/Release/Manufacturing Experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Proper Part/Assemblies are Available to Tool Makers to Perform CMM Checks
  • Review and Respond to CMM Data
  • Own Element(s) of the PCP
  • Ensure Compliance to PCP
  • Review Fits on Final Line, Adjust Tools and Fixtures as Necessary
  • Evaluate various gap/flushness characteristics of the completed vehicle, determine root cause of any out of tolerance conditions and work with the appropriate organization to resolve
  • Support production (answer calls, review and correct build issues)
  • Maintains good working relationships with peers, hourly employees, union management, supplier community & interfaces with necessary support functions outside of the assembly plant
  • Review tooling and build data for issues in the plant
  • Review Operator Fixtures (check operator sequence is correct)
  • Own Geo Pallet Stability/Repeatability
  • Schedule Geo Pallet Inspection/Measurement
  • Schedule Adjustments and Repair of Pallets
  • Order Pallet Parts to Maintain GEO Pallets
  • Responsible for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Template
  • Subject-Matter- Expert (SME) and mentor in the utilization and application of GD&T
  • Develop and deploy global dimensional engineering methods, processes, standards, and training
