Requirements
- Formal education in engineering, biomedical science, biology, physics, or a related field with an emphasis on biomedical image processing at the PhD level with zero to five years of employment experience
- Hands-on experience with a tomography beamline is an asset
- Expertise in Python or other scientific programming languages
- Expertise in data processing, preferably with a focus on tomography
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good collaboration skills and be able to work with a team
- Ability to model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced processing pipelines and methods for neuroimaging
- Conduct research with state-of-the-art tools
- Optimize data pipelines and methods to handle and visualize datasets
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of scientists
- Ensure the highest data quality while preserving sample integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in machine learning/deep learning methods
- Experience in software development
- Experience in electron microscopy and biological sample preparation
