Requirements
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent education required.
- Must have a minimum of four completed units of ACPE clinical pastoral education
- ACPE Certified Educator preferred.
- Board certification by a certifying body recognized by the Spiritual Care Collaborative such as APC (Association for Professional Chaplains), NACC (National Association of Catholic Chaplains), NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains), etc, or appropriate equivalency approved by the Corporate Director of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy.
- 3-5 years experience that includes, chaplaincy, administration, and budget oversight.
- Administrative, management, and leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, implement, and serve the religious and spiritual care offered to patients, their loved ones, and staff.
- Coordinate the daily operations of the delivery of pastoral care services and pastoral education.
- Support families as they make difficult care decisions.
- Visit hospital units and lead support groups.
- Supervise programs of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education in accordance with acknowledged professional standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACPE Certified Educator preferred.
