Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or higher, is required
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
- Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc,)
- Proficient with Microstation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and complex modeling design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Developing detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design
- Collaborating with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs to develop applications
- Compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
- Supporting studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals
- Working with various disciplines and reviewers to ensure complete, accurate, and high-quality deliverables
- Contribute to proposal development
- Managing small projects, project tasks, and assisting Project Managers in overall large project delivery
- Manage and maintain project documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Nebraska and/or South Dakota Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (Preferred)
- Project experience in transportation engineering design (Preferred)
- Project experience in the design of collection and gravity flow storm and sanitary sewer systems (Preferred)
