Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop highly complex and integrated enterprise applications with superior web and native experiences
- Act as the go-to person in your squad team for all architectural questions and decisions
- Create & review software architecture designs and architectural standards including visual representations
- Ensure the software meets highest security and legal compliance standards and all non-functionals including scalability, resilience, configurability, and upgradeability
- Identify and articulate risk and potential mitigations
- Align closely with peer Lead Engineers from other squad teams on architecture
- Define the usage of 3rd party libraries and drive the adoption of shared code across teams
- Support developers translate business requirements into technical specifications and provide effort estimates
- Hire, onboard, guide, coach and grow developers along their career path
- Drive the team to a maximum velocity while at the same time ensuring highest code quality
- Drive fast root cause analysis of mission-critical issues under time pressure and provide rapid mitigations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Full Stack Developer or related role/occupation/position in the Banking and/or Fintech industry.
- Using Java, JavaScript, swift, Kotlin SQL, Spring, Unit, REST API, Kubernetes, Git, Agile Development; Developing complex and integrated applications with superior web and native experiences
- Working with object- oriented development and multi-threaded programming
- Full life cycle software development
- Designing and implementing flexible solutions to support UI and functionality changes
- Conducting design reviews, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers
- Creating and reviewing software architect designs and architectural standards, including visual representations
- Ensuring software meets security and legal compliance standards and all nonfunctional, including scalability, resilience, configurability, and upgradeability; Identifying and
articulating risk and potential mitigations; and Aligning closely on the architecture with other Engineers on other teams. - Up to 5% of international and domestic travel required for business meetings. Telecommuting is permitted from
any U.S. location. - Experience with working in agile environments
