Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in sales —ideally in a PLG or SaaS environment
- Comfortable owning a quota and full sales cycle with a consultative approach
- Strong product intuition—able to understand technical features and communicate value clearly
- Experience handling inbound volume and closing “land and expand” deals
- Proactive, customer-centric, and scrappy—this is a startup, not a call center
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- You have a results-oriented mindset with a passion for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with video tools, creator platforms, or AI products
Responsibilities
- Own and close inbound deals from high-intent users (e.g. trial signups, pricing inquiries, product questions)
- Expand usage within existing accounts by identifying cross-functional needs and upsell opportunities
- Collaborate with Support and Success teams to turn reactive questions into revenue moments
- Conduct discovery calls and product demos for self-serve and mid-market users
- Develop a deep understanding of customers’ needs, pain points, and objectives to tailor Captions solutions effectively
- Collaborate closely with internal teams like Customer Success, Marketing, and Product, to optimize the sales process and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics, including monthly quotas and conversion rates.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments to effectively position Captions in the AI Video tools space
