Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
  • An associate degree in any field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Review accident reports and determine whether they are reportable or not
  • Review and respond to mail and requests for information
  • Draft letters in response to written or phone inquiries
  • Process accident related insurance verification, denials and fatal crash reports
  • Prepare and process hearing requests and decisions
  • Participate in special projects related to crash reporting
  • Assist with on-the-job training of other unit personnel
  • Assist customers by phone
  • Participate as a member of a team in an office environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a constantly changing and fast paced environment
  • Experience in performing a variety of clerical functions with high attention to detail while balancing phone calls
  • Experience in applying specific, well-defined rules, regulations, policies and procedures to work performed
  • Proven excellent customer service and time management skills
