Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in digital product design with at least 5 years of leadership experience with direct reports, including hiring and developing talent
- Experience with digital product design for the automotive industry and embedded software/hardware products
- Experience leading consumer-facing product design for native iOS and Android apps
- A portfolio of your product design work is required when applying
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design of Polaris digital products from concept to launch. Think strategically, framing design within the customer experience of powersports, and drive execution.
- Partner with design, product, engineering leadership to define digital product vision. Articulate design strategy and the value of design, ensuring buy-in at all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the products meet technical feasibility and design excellence.
- Manage design team backlog, workload, and priorities
- Conduct competitive, customer, and user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions
- Set design standards and guidelines for digital products. Ensure design consistency and quality across digital products
- Manage, mentor and coach a team of designers. Run team design reviews.
- Attract and develop top design talent
- Refine the teams design process with best tools, etc.
- Understand Polaris customers & products
