Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years managing engineering teams
- Proven experience designing and building production-grade payments systems or fintech infrastructure
- Strong technical background in backend systems, APIs, and distributed systems
- Deep understanding of payment rails (e.g., ACH, wire, card networks, crypto) and global fintech ecosystems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Passion for solving complex problems and building systems from the ground up
- Strong product mindset and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Experience building decentralized, blockchain solutions in fintech or payments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and scaling of payment solutions on the Aptos blockchain
- Build and manage a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Partner with Product, BD, and other cross-functional teams to define the roadmap and deliver high-impact solutions
- Define architecture, set technical direction, and ensure high code quality, reliability, and security standards
- Drive execution and delivery, balancing short-term wins with long-term innovation
- Stay current on the evolving Web3 and payments landscape, identifying opportunities for Aptos to lead and differentiate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with L1 or L2 blockchain platforms
- Familiarity with smart contract platforms and Move (or similar languages)
- Prior experience scaling engineering organizations from early-stage to maturity
