Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or some college coursework completed/equivalent experience in related field of study
  • 2-3 years of talent development experience
  • Computer proficiency, with intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodology
  • Facilitation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and strong time management skills while remaining proactive and flexible
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage relationships with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders
  • Credible presentation skills and an ability to lead and influence others
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Support in the management of the talent development system of programs, including mentoring, career development, high potential development and leadership development programs.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Talent Development to identify and prioritize talent development gaps; recommend appropriate initiatives and programs.
  • Create (design, develop and/or compile) solutions for prioritized talent development initiatives and programs. Leverage project management skills to ensure timely execution, manage initiatives and programs following implementation, and ensure appropriate measurement and sustainability.
  • Adopt a human-centered design approach in development of programs and solutions, ensuring a positive employee and stakeholder experience.
  • Recommend, create, procure, deliver, and maintain program events, materials, technology, training and tools in support of talent development initiatives and programs.
  • Assist Manager, Talent Development to manage Executive Succession Plans, ensuring identification of talent, readiness assessment, and robust annual development planning and offerings for succession plan incumbents.
  • Influence a coaching culture, and manage and coordinate executive coaching with third-party partner(s).
  • Partner with Manager, Talent Development and HR Business Partners and business leaders to execute workforce planning model, including the assessment of talent through a robust talent review process; execute and manage subsequent development activities targeting emerging, core and high potential talent.
  • Plan, coordinate and executive various organizational development interventions across the business including administering various talent assessments to employees of all levels; providing coaching and development planning, and executing team-based development activities.
  • Provide talent development consultation to HR Business Partners to ensure successful execution of individual development plans and the identification of effective solutions that promote career and performance development.
  • In alignment with our vendor management process, maintain a network of vendors to enhance and sustain ongoing talent and leadership development. Effectively manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party providers.
  • Develop and employ effective surveys and measurement tools that gauge the success of talent development initiatives and programs. Evaluate effectiveness and recommend changes for improvement and evolution.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Learning team to align talent development activities and programs with corporate training offerings.
  • Build knowledge of latest talent development trends; recommend improvements based on industry research.
  • Compile, design, distribute and/or post materials that promote talent and leadership development; facilitate information sessions and webinars as directed.
  • Recommend and manage to budget allocated to talent development activities and programs.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification and/or experience in talent assessment administration [Gallup CliftonStrengths and/or Hogan (HPI, HDS, MVPI)] is a plus
  • Certification and/or experience in coaching a plus
