Requirements

  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls and pertinence to application security
  • Security + Certification/8570 Baseline Requirements
  • Vulnerability Management & Reporting – Intermediate
  • Application Security and Development Security Requirements (STIG) – Intermediate
  • Active TS clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and report on security impacts using commercial off the shelf (COTS) vulnerability scanning, dynamic application security testing (DAST), and static application security testing (SAST) tools.
  • Analyze identified vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance the security posture of the organization.
  • Familiar with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) security requirements or comparable industry standards for application development.
  • Assist in defining requirements, designing and structuring security components, and testing efforts.
  • Work closely with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Management level communication and reporting of metrics
  • Independent research to identify Oracle specific application baseline security requirements and allowed deviations per team collaboration efforts.
  • Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Continuously improve and update security testing methodologies and tools.
