Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 4+ years in public accounting or at a scaling startup
- Expertise in GAAP and strong command of the full close process
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data acumen
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to deliver financial insights that drive critical decisions across the business
- Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Improve and manage accounting processes related to premium accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Build scalable systems and processes to support our expansion into new states and product lines
- Support external audits and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting across the board
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
- Familiarity with P&C insurance or financial services
