Requirements
- Technical background spanning electronics hardware and software applied to one or more of life sciences, chemistry or biology
- Master’s degree or higher
- 10+ years experience
- Familiarity and knowledge with applying optical and/or RF sensing modalities and their related signal chains and processing
- Basic business acumen
Responsibilities
- Lead the system architecture of prototypes and MVPs for life science systems
- Evolve ideas to actionable experiments and enable rapid learning
- Design and build systems to bring semiconductors and biology together
- Decomposition of complex requirements and specifications into subsystems
- Technical leadership of systems functions spanning mechanical, fluidics, optics, electronics, software and cloud
- Make build versus buy decisions on where to invest in R&D efforts to maximize impact
Preferred Qualifications
- A systems engineering leader, comfortable working with diverse skillsets and domains and building novel systems together
- A wide range of technical knowledge from mechanical, fluidics, electronics to cloud software with demonstrated deep expertise in at least one technical discipline
- Have participated in or knowledge of clinical or domain specific interviews of stakeholders in life sciences or similar product development
