Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience as a power electronics design engineer, electrical design engineer, or related occupation
- Experience with power electronics systems and converters design and testing
- Experience with NPI product development process
- Experience with power electronics system schematic development and simulation software such as MS Visio, Creo, Plecs, MATLAB, Simulink
Responsibilities
- Develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of Power Electronics and Battery Electric products and components
- Guide the evolution of the technical design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing
- Participate in supplier selection and capabilities assessment
- Monitor, explore, and test new technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities
- Construct and fabricate prototype equipment
- Oversee materials selection, process optimization and process yield, as well as reliability testing and failure analysis
